Welcome to the ÆTHER project website

ÆTHER is an IST-FET project funded under the 6th framework programme (FP6). Selected under the fourth call in the Advanced Computing Architecture (ACA) initiative of the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) programme, ÆTHER's main objective is to study novel self-adaptive computing technologies for future embedded and pervasive applications. The ÆTHER project started January 1st, 2006 for a duration of 36 months.

NEW: The Final Project Review of the AETHER Project

The Final Review of the AETHER project will take place in Paris during 8th and 9th september, 2009.

During this review, the results of the project will be detailed and the related demonstrators showing AETHER technologies will be presented.

More details on this event can be found on this page: Final Review of AETHER.

Science beyond Fiction - The European Future Technologies Conference

The European Future Technologies Conference, FET09, is a new European forum dedicated to frontier research in future and emerging information technologies. Leading scientists, policy-makers, industry representatives and science journalists will convene over 3 days to discuss today's frontier science, tomorrow's technologies and the impact of both on tomorrow's society.

Second AMWAS Workshop and Autumn School (AMWAS 2008)

The second AETHER – MORPHEUS Symposium entitled "From Reconfigurable to Self - Adaptive Computing" (AMWAS’08) will be organized in Lugano, Switzerland in October 7-9, 2008. The innovative “Workshop-Autumn School” format is chosen to provide participants with both grounding on a new, challenging scientific area and with exposure to research results and proposals.
